What would make a good "negative anniversary" gift?

I'm getting married in a little over a year and would like to get my intended something for the -1st anniversary, as it were. I'd like something relatively inexpensive that ships easily and would have sentimental value. Has anyone here done this before or seen something that would fill the bill?
TPS has a sweet idea. Similarly, perhaps a book that you've found a reading in for the wedding that you can also inscribe? Or music?

Best answer: Get a nice, leatherbound journal that you two can use to record the year leading up to (and including) the wedding. All the mundane details, nervousness, excitement, frustrations, etc., may become valuable memories someday. This assumes that you would take the time to actually enter details as they happen...

2nding arco. My hubs and I kept a journal in the year leading up to our wedding, and since we were living apart we'd mail it to each other. It was a great experience for us. (Ours wasn't a fancy-shmancy one, rather it was a thin paper journal that was easy/cheap to mail).

Best answer: Okay, first anniversary is paper, so if you want the negation of paper... how about an elaborate paper cutout, like a custom die-cut design from these people, or a version of these handmade 3D-cutout snowflakes?

Best answer: I would go with a time capsule. You guys could fill it with sentimental items/notes/letters/predictions for your future and go bury it somewhere special to you both. Pick an anniversary that you will dig it up on and when that day arrives have a little picnic party to mark the occasion. So, along with the other items that represented the moment, stick in a nice bottle of champagne.

Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestions. I liked the journal idea very much so I'll pick one of those up. And I'll hang on to these other ideas for in the future.
