Please help me remove Ultimate Defender from my computer....

I have no idea how it made it's way into my PC, but it's a nasty little spybot that neither Ad-aware nor Spybot S&D seems to be able to remove. I've tried searching on the internet and manually uninstalling it - removing everything from the registry, killing processes, et cetera. It's still in my system. I'm using Windows XP. I don't want to pay for a spybot program. Help?

Best option I could recommend is to download Counterspy and try running that. Use the 15-day trial. If you like it, I would recommend purchasing it, it's only $20

You could try killing all the executable files listed here using task manager, and then deleting all the registry keys also listed on that page, but I suspect just running regedit and deleting the ultimate defender key under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run
and rebooting would do the trick.
