Are there any good sub $1500 notebooks with Vista MCE's new cablecard for recording high def video?

Are there any good sub $1500 notebooks with Vista MCE's new cablecard for recording high def video? Preferably one with a good amount of RAM, 15.4" and good connections.

Not the answer you're looking for but since I've been on the lookout for a cheap HTPC I've seen USB solutions that offload lots of the work from the PC/Laptop. No links onhand but if you're interested I can try to find them. It won't be an all-in-one solution but could save you some cash. I'm leaning toward a mac mini with an eyetv hybrid, but I know Hauppauge makes some PC compatible tuners. I, too, would love a lappy solution but the cost is much higher.

monkeymadness: the Cablecard is the part you're missing there.

I haven't seen any laptops out yet with OCUR/Cablecards. You might want to peruse this thread at AVSForum to see. I've only seen the Niveus, and the Dell XPS 410 desktops. There's likely others, but I'm not sure where.

As an addition, because Cablelabs has decided the entire machine must be certified, it will be expressly prohibited in Vista to add this functionality to a machine.

I see. Sorry about that. I misunderestimated the question.
