Did Norway have gas lighting around the year 1879?

I'm a student working at a library and one of the staff librarians was asked a question about whether or not Norway had gas lighting in 1879. This is for the purposes of theater authenticity for the work "A Doll's House". Being a helpful sort I tried looking as well and couldn't come up with anything definitive either way. Any information will be of great help.
