Marble Run display in NYC

NYC Transit users: Do you know where the Marble Run display is?
Ever since this question was posted, I've been trying to remember a marble run that I saw in February of 2005 somewhere in the Subway system. Maybe it was at a station that transfers to commuter rails? I can't remember and it's driving me pointlessly mad!
The marble run was lovely: lots of metal parts, and it was large (maybe 12' x 12' x 12'). It looked like a permanent display behind plexiglas. Is there any information online about this beautiful creature?

Best answer: Do you mean this clock in the Port Authority? It's by George Rhoads, there s'a blurb written about it here (scroll down to "MAGIC CLOCK — CERMAK").

Wasn't this, or something like it, at the Ben Franklin Institute in Philadelphia? I vaguely remember as a pup seeing something like it there many years ago...

Yes, there is. That sculpture, or one like it, was also on display in the baggage claim area of the Philadelphia airport when I flew through there a year ago.

Not that theses don't necessarily use marbles. One uses pool balls and the other uses golf balls.

They used to have them in the check-in area of the Delta terminal at Boston's Logan airport as well, many years ago.

I actually saw the Port Authority one on Saturday. It's pretty depressing, just like the rest of the bus terminal. Lit by fluorescent lights and not working. Don't go out of your way to see it.
