Please don't say Philip Pelusi

Are there any trendy places for a female to get a haircut in Pittsburgh?

I would like to go to a young, nice but not extravagant, salon to get a haircut. I used to go to a nice place in Shadyside, but my guy there doesn't always share my vision. Are there any places with younger demographics inside? Bonus points if they take walk-ins or are on the East side of the city.

Is your former nice place in Shadyside Dean? That's where I've been going. Kelly is really really really awesome. I guess there's always Philip Pelusi but...I haven't been as happy with them.

I don't know of any place on the east side, but on the South side is Uzori Salon. They listen to you and do a fantastic job. I highly recommend them. They do have a parking lot, so don't worry about trying to find parking on Carson St.

It's in the south hills, but I get mine done at Salon Ferragonio. No website, but it's on 19 (724-941-4880), and if you email me, I can give you photographic representation (from the past 4-5 years) of how amazing they are.

I was actually going to post this question... I'm glad someone else did first.
*sigh* If only that sweet hair salon in Fictional Pittsburgh from the movie Stigmata was real...
