Bigfoot seeks big shoe

Have you bought women's shoes online?

I'm looking for women's E or double wide (WW) shoes online, and coming up with truly ugly shoes at popular sites or pretty shoes at incredibly sketchy sites.

Does anyone have positive experiences buying wide width women's shoes online? I'm looking for the names of decent brands and links to sites for dress and casual shoes.

I have a pair of SAS oxfords that are looking worn out, and I'd love to get something a bit more fashionable.

Thanks for helping a Sasquatch out.

Have you tried Zappo's? You can search by width there. I don't know what it is you're looking for, but I've been pleased with their service, plus the selection is huge.

Endless is also great-- it's Amazon's attempt to compete with Zappos, and while the selection doesn't compare (yet), the UI is wonderful and it seems to have better mark-downs.

Thirding zappos. They have a very easy-to-use return policy, so you can order two sizes if you are in-between sizes and send back what doesn't fit with no hassles.

Yes, I have bought women's shoes online. I've bought from Zappos, Victoria's Secret, and Delia's (yes, I'm 16 at heart. Shut up). I've never searched for a specific width, but Zappos's shipping and return policy can't be beat.

Zappos forever! I always said that shoes were the one thing I couldn't imagine buying online -- until I experienced the wonder that is Zappos. Especially for hard-to-fit feet. You can search by size (that link shows all women's shoes that come in WW) -- and the customer reviews frequently provide useful info about how the shoes actually fit.

Here's a couple of brands that cater to women with your size foot. Some catalogs don't carry the high end of their shoes, but many do.

California Magdesians
Ros Hammerstein (hammer-something)
Cloudwalkers, which are sold at The Avenue.

Catalogs: Coward Shoes, good selection. Statuesque, good selection, pretty shoes. Lane Bryant, standard selection. Roamanns, standard selection.

Statuesque has a nice range of shoes, many in your size. (954) 452-9816; Toll-Free: 800-367-7167. They only have a catalog.

If you're not opposed to wearing men's shoes, check out the men's sections; some of the shoes are unisex. If you got to DSW you can find all sorts of cute casual shoes in the men's section.

I've bought a ton of men's shoes from Zappos. Their customer service is amazing. Seriously. Free Shipping both ways, so if the shoes don't fit, they pay for you to send them back.

Nthing zappos - now the only place I will buy shoes online. I have tried various other places, but their search function and their unbeatable shipping and returns policy make them the only good choice. I just checked the site and they go up to a 7E on width. Happy shopping!

I have WW feet too and I buy from Zappos or Shoebuy. I've also returned shoes to both with no hassle whatsoever. They have slightly different coverage in brands and styles. It's true that there aren't alot of really cute shoes out there in my size, but there are some not-too-bad choices.

If you need a dress shoe, I have a pair of Naturalizer Karis and like them.

I buy shoes online all the time - I use Zappos most often, then shoes.com, I just got some cute flats from buyshoes.com, I have hit or miss results with Naturalizer's (if you call the store and they order them to the store, they don't charge shipping and you don't have to worry about returning them if they don't fit), Skecher's run wide, as do Kenzie's (though short, so order 1/2 size larger than normal).

I have had OK luck at DSW (they have a limited number of wides in any one style though). Nordstrom's has a nice Wide Shoe search function as well.

I personally like FootSmart - I have wide-ish feet, too, and I have been able to find some attractive yet comfortable pairs through their online site as well as their mail catalog. They also have a 120-Day satisfaction guarantee, which is nice. They have all kinds - sandals, sneakers, dressy, etc.

As for brands, you might like SoftSpots, Easy Spirit, or Naturalizer.

Endless will allow you to search by width (though they only seem to go up to E and EE for women) and are currently running not only a sale, but they'll take off another $5 for overnight shipping. . .

I have always gone to designershoes.com. They have all kinds of widths. (I usually use them because I have larger-than-average feet so YMMV.)

Echoing the Zappos bandwagon. Their customer service & return policies are awesome. And they have some really cute shoes in EE. Like these, these, these, , these, and so on.

Zappos inflates the prices on their shoes to cover that "free" shipping. I've recently converted to shoes.com, which seem to be cheaper overall with the same free-shipping-both-ways model. Looks like they have over 1000 pairs of women's shoes in extra wide.
