Got histamine?

Has anybody here been diagnosed as having abnormally high histamine levels (histadelia)?
I was suprised to learn that consistently high histamine levels can, over time, cause psychological reactions (depression, OCD, temperature sensitivity). Just wondering if anybody has been diagnosed, treated ...and what has been the result.

A former partner of mine had this. He took anti-histimines even though he didn't have allergies. It made his skin very sensitive, so if you scratched him lightly he'd get welts. He might have been a touch OCD, too, now that you mention it.
His treatment (taking the antihistimines) seemed to help somewhat but not 100%.

Something that has worked for me: every morning, I drink a hot cup of lemon water. At least once a day, I drink a hormone regulator type of tea and drink tons of water.
I also consulted a homeopath for alternative treatments as I don't wish to take an antihistamine every day of my life. Currently, I'm down to one antihistamine a week, or save it for when I have a skin rash/breakout. Don't know if this helps, but it worked for me.
Good luck.
