Copper disks/slugs

I'm looking for a supplier of copper slugs or disks, 7/8" in diameter, 3/16" thick.

Does anyone know of a company in Canada or the U.S. that ships to Canada. I've been cutting them from round stock but that is time consuming and wasteful.

Alternatively, is there another name for small round metal disks that I should be googling?

I've sometimes seen thin disks sold "pucks" but I'm not finding any copper. I looked at Strem Chemical (who is usually good for this sort of stuff).

Can these people help you out?

Have you looked through the McMaster-Carr catalog?

Best answer: You want to find a punching company, and have them do a full sheet for you all at once, I think. They can arrange them in a hexagonal close packing arrangement and get near-full utilization of the sheet. Each one ought to only cost you a few cents, in my opinion as a machinist. But making them out of bar stock isn't that bad, really- you just need a thinner cutoff tool so you're not wasting as much material. A cnc shop should be able to only waste .03-.05" per disc.

McMaster only has 12" long rods at 7/8" diameter.

Small Parts only has 3" long rods at 7/8". They also have brass discs, but not at your size.
