Shoe stores in Bay Arrea

ShoeStoreFilter: In search of good shoe store in the Bay Area (San Francisco or Berkeley preferred) for ecco shoes, Birkenstocks (the walking shoes, not the sandals), and White Mountain. I prefer not to buy shoes on line.

There's an ecco store on Post St., in Union Square.

The walk shop on College avenue - berkely / oakland boarder right around Claremont Ave.

There's another outfit calling itself The Walk Shop in Walnut Square in Berkeley (Walnut and Vine). Lots of uber-comfy shoes- Eccon Birks and others- that last forever. Excellent service too- and given that I have the feet of someone an unknown multiple of times my age, it helps to be helped by someone who gets what it means to have no arches.
