I need an interior designer for a commercial project. What fees should I expect to pay and what is included in those fees?

What exactly do you expect the interior designer to do? Will they just be picking paint colors or providing an integrated interiors package? Your question is a little like asking how much a mechanic costs without knowing what's wrong with your car. For starters, you could probably check with professional organizations, like the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID); or even the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Note that one doesn't have to obtain any sort of professional license to become an interior designer, so "interior designers" run the gamut of everything from your neighbor who likes to hang draperies, to college-trained professionals.
