The best (inexpensive) sushi and shopping in Hermosa Beach, CA?
I'm going to Hermosa Beach tomorrow morning with a friend. I want to have a somewhat inexpensive early lunch at a sushi place. Then I want to do some shopping. So...
1)Where is the best place to grab sushi for lunch? Looking for a place with a good atmosphere and great sashimi....
2)Are there any super cool/funky boutiques that sell women's clothing? I'm 23. Other good shopping?
Thanks so much!!!

The sushi dive sLevi refers to is Paradise Sushi, whose name is extremely tongue-in-cheek, but the gub really isn't bad, and the prices and location can't be beat.

Sushi Sei was my introduction to sushi, and while I've had better sushi since then, it took a lot of hunting and a lot of $ just to find places that equalled it.
I remember it quite fondly, except for the part when we all got the sushi chef drunk and he served us "something special" that turned out to be whale. Whale being endangered and all, I could have passed.

For sushi...my favorite place has disappeared, but there are a few down there. There's a hole-in-the-wall which isn't too bad, maybe not too clean though, on the Pier under FFF Fishshack (53 Pier Ave), ask someone down there. I look forward to other people's replies on this one.
Other shopping: Riviera Village in South Redondo Beach, or the west end of Manhattan Beach Boulevard in Manhattan Beach.
