Where can I have a meeting in New York?

Where can I find office space by the hour in NYC?
I'm working with some friends on a startup, and we're having a hard time finding good meeting spaces.
We've tended to meet at Starbucks and the like, but we need just a little more peace and a little more room. I need a space for occasional 1-2 hour meetings with 3-4 people, the only requirements being power and WiFi. And not too expensive.

Regus rents office suites by the hour and day at a package price, and have offices all over NYC. I have friends with businesses in CT and NJ who swear by them. They are efficient, easily bookable, and offer virtual office components (like a receptionist who will answer with your company's name) for a small extra price.

What about hotel facilities? I've rented meeting rooms from time to time.

What about libraries? University libraries usually have group-study rooms that can be reserved or used on a first-come first-serve basis. If none of you are students anymore, maybe some public libraries have a similar thing (I haven't been to a non-university library in quite some time so I can't remember).

Synergy work places has a New York office. Haven't used them yet, but I love their set-up.

Some FedEx Kinko's stores have conference rooms available for rent by the hour.

Their smallest room appears to go for $60/hour.
