iTunes & XML file usage?

iTunes & XML. Whilst playing with my new iPod, I noticed that the iTunes library file is stored in xml. Are there any existing tools/apps/blog plugins that can make use of this file?

You can import/export the XML for Winamp use with the Winamp 5 Media Library Import/Export Plug-In

Does it store the "recently played" in xml, too? That'd be a real easy way to get a playlist for yer web-log. assuming you have one.
