Help? What is the best baking-specific store in Chicago?

I am looking for a good grocery store that specializes in bread baking stuff. Different kinds of yeasts, sourdough starters, different kinds of flour. I have looked at Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Sunflower Market. I would really like to just go to a store that is baking specific. But I don't know where to find one? No one I talk to seems to know where to go.

Don't know if this is much help, but have you tried one of the Chopping Block stores? There's one in the Merchandise Mart and one in Lincoln Square, and they seem to have some random groceries. I would call first to see what they have, and they might be able to give you some suggestions of other stores if they're unable to help. The Chopping Block is a cooking/cookware store, so not baking specific, but like I said - they do carry some gourmet groceries.

If you don't mind mail order, check out http://www.kingarthurflour.com. I've had great luck ordering from them.

You might want to contact the Pro-Bono Baker...she's in Chicago. If anyone would know, I'm guessing that she would.
