CNN Crawl and distraction

I'm trying to find a study I remember seeing that basically argued that the presence of more information on the screen at CNN (i.e., the 'crawl' or 'ticker') left people less likely to remember what was actually on the station during a given time (versus without)... does that ring anyone's bell? A reference would be amazing...

Saw it, can't find it.

Try this if you're looking hard.

My recollection is that the effect wasn't as pronounced as the headline implied.
