Will the Wii be able to surf the net?

Will you be able to surf the internet with the Wii?
It is speculative to answer definitively, but a version of GNU/Linux will be written and released for the Wii, which I imagine will allow you to surf the web with Firefox, etc.

Also, it's supposed to have Flash support (unlike Opera for the DS), which will make it even easier to zone out with YouTube, now from the comfort of my couch :)

There should be a rule that if you copy and paste your exact question from Ask Metafilter into Google, and the very first answer (or for that matter, almost every answer on the first page of results) gives you a perfectly valid answer, you should be given a question-asking timeout.
