Seeking the website of a Japanese photographer.

Back in the relatively early days of the Web I recall looking at the site of a Japanese photographer. I remember black and white semi-abstracted shots of building interiors, staircases, empty vistas, no people. I was on someone else's box and couldn't bookmark it, but I loved the work and would like to see it again. Anyone know which site, or whose work, I could've been looking at?

Response by poster: That's nice, but the one I saw was less treated and post-processed.

dacafe by Mori Yuji?

He has people photos, but way back when I last checked it out, he had beautiful shots of empty building rooftops, etc.

Best answer: I thought Yuji Saiga, too, or Shin-ichiro Kobayashi. Or Ryuji Miyamoto.

A long shot, but maybe Tokyo Nobody by Masataka Nakano?

Response by poster: Ooh, I think it was Kobayashi.

But all these links have some fascinating stuff. Thanks!
