Did Steve Irwin expore WW2 sites?

Did Steve Irwin do a series of shows exporing World War 2 battle sites?

I may be crazy, but I thought I remembered this from a few years ago. I remember him climbing around old bunkers and digging around the ruins of old tanks and planes. I think he even may have found some human remains, too.

It was a very interesting show, but I find nothing on Google or IMDB.

I saw an episode within the past couple of weeks where he was on the west coast of Australia at an old whale hunting/processing facility. There were a lot of mechanical ruins. Could be what you're thinking of.

He did. I can't find any verification, but I doubt we both imagined the exact same thing.

Are you sure it wasn't Ray Mears? He did a fantastic documentary Real Heroes of Telemark a few years back.

Response by poster: I'm almost positive it was Irwin, but I can't find anything online, which makes me second guess myself.

I think it might have been called "Ghosts of the Pacific". I found this guy who thinks the same thing.

It was a very good show, and I remember wanting to buy the DVD but never did.

I'm not sure if the question should be, "Did Steve Irwin make this show", or "Why can't I find it".

Response by poster: I found it! "Ghosts of War" is the title. It's strange there isn't much about it online. Especially IMDB, or eBay.

Any idea where we can find this show? DVD, torrent, or otherwise?

Best answer: It's actually two episodes of the Crocodile Hunter TV show from 2002, which would explain why it doesn't show up as a separate series in IMDB.

It looks like only a few episodes of the series are out on DVD. It may have been capped and torrented though.

Response by poster: I haven't been able to find it. But I'd love to see it again. Steve Irwin was never one of my favorite TV people, but this was different. He was guenuinly extatic about finding all these old war relics. And he was quite the WW2 buff, if I remember it correctly. He knew his stuff.
