TexasRealEstateExamFilter: Im going to be taking my Texas Real Estate agent exam in November. Can anyone a recommend a good online study guide/exam prep? Preferably one that you have had experience with.

I took the exam last year for Maine and used The Real Estate License Professor, The Real Estate License Exam for Dummies, and a Maine specific real estate law book. Total cost : appx $90. I studied my ass off, and used the RE License Professor for practice tests. That was all it was good for, sort of like an SAT practice book. There was no teaching content, just tests. I tried this because I thought the course at the local Tech School was too much money (appx $325). I failed the test by one question on my first try, so it cost me an extra $80 to retake the test, plus time lost. I did pass it the second time, and as I was checking out of the test center, the test monitor asked me where I took my class . She couldn't believe it when I told her I studied for the test myself..." Nobody goes that" she said. It turns out that the courses ( at least here they are) are extremely user friendly, and are usually " taught to the test" Maybe I saved money, but I would recommend taking the course in a classroom setting. The best ones are the weekend crash course from what I am told.
