IDing a picture

Does anyone know where this image comes from?

I can't help directly but maybe I can trigger the memory in someone else. It looks really familiar to me. My first thought was the banner here, which was wrong, and the other thought was that it is from a CD from one of the grunge bands in the 90s, maybe on the inside. I thought Soundgarden which seems wrong now that I've looked at the album covers. STP, Smashing Pumpkins, etc..

I keep thinking the cat had an unnaturally huge grin. It looked like they used one of those stretching filters to get it. That might explain why it is cut where it is, on the bottom at least.

Very annoyed I can't remember the origin...

chesire cat? Perhaps some play on Alice? Other than Alice in chains, was there a band called Alice?
