Best Lucid Dreaming App with sound 'cues'? iOS, probably

Looking for a lucid dreaming app for my iPhone, on iOS 18.3. I haven't read about lucid dreaming in a while, my last research was before phone apps took over the world. So now I'm curious about using one of the various techniques that use sound cues to help the dreamer realize they are dreaming. I do not have an Apple Watch, Fitbit, or any other that other jive. What apps do folks like?

Note, I also have an old Android tablet, and could use that as well.

Response by poster: P.S. A good Reddit thread is OK for a reference, but I like to ask here because MeFites keep the signal-to-noise really high.

I use ShutEye, is that what you’re looking for?

Best answer: I waited all day for somebody to say something but not a lot of responses so…

This Reddit thread seems to have an appropriate amount of skepticism for bullshit in lucid dreaming apps (as well as some on-brand Reddit stuff) with some decent suggestions for apps that exist.

Best answer: I was listening to an episode of Archetypes and the Planets where they were discussing a new app called Temenos. I was turned off because of how much AI was baked into it, but the workbook, symbol and community features looked appealing.

Best answer: Alternative perspective: I belong to a Tibetan lucid dreaming group, a fair number of people with deep LD experience and none of us are ride or die on any particular LD technology just fyi.

Best answer: Another alternative perspective: If you were willing to explore non-app options, The Triad Mind offers a streaming lucid dreaming course. Disclaimer: I have not traken this course. But based on what the founder, Mark Certo, says in this interview, he is someone I would absolutely trust to train my subconscious.
