Notify Anyway

When Iphone tells you "Person has notifications silenced" but gives you the option to "Notify anyway," what happens for the textee? Do they get a normal text alert? Or does the text message do a visual effect as it does on the texter's end?

If you guys do that, I hope you'll post the answer because I've always been curious about this.

I just tried it with Mr Corpse and the texts went through with normal notifications. He says he might have me in some "it's okay to disturb me" setting, so this isn't a complete answer.

FWIW, if I have my notifications silenced, I don't want anyone to be able to circumvent that decision. So, I'm curious to know if this is possible.

This only appears on iOS if the recipient has a Focus Mode filtering their notifications. The sender can only see that you have silenced notifications if the recipient has turned on Share Focus Status.

If the sender chooses notify anyway, it effectively tells the recipient’s phone to override the focus filter and send a notification to the recipient. The notification will be whatever format their text notifications follow.
