Can I carry homemade banana bread with me all day tomorrow?

I plan to bake homemade banana bread for a party tomorrow night. I have tentative plans all day tomorrow before the party. Is it a good idea to carry the bread with me the whole day? If so, how?

I was given a last minute invitation to a party tomorrow night, so decided I will bake this recipe, substituting granulated sugar with brown sugar, to bring to the party. (I have baked this specific recipe many times before, so it definitely works, and is yummy to boot!)

I have a couple of other tentative plans tomorrow, so will be far away from home the whole day. Would it be doable to bake the bread today and carry the bread with me tomorrow all day, then bring it to the party? That would make it much easier and would mean not having to drive back home, which would be out of the way.

If that's workable, any storage tips? Leave it in the original baking tray/pan, covered by foil or plastic? I might be outside for a good part of the day.

Thanks a banana-bunch!

I've done this countless times. Wrap it in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.

Yes. Keep in original pan wrapped after cooling. Take normal care to not overly jostle or turn upside down. Depending on event, pack a knife to slice and serve.

I probably would let it cool for 15 minutes, remove it from the original baking pan, let it cool fully, then put it back in the pan and wrap it all up. The pan will protect it, but you don't want to end up with a fully stuck pan. If you line your pan with parchment paper that could also make it easier.

Do you have a car to leave it in all day? It seems like you do since you mention driving but I can't tell for sure? If so, there is zero issue with this, it doesn't matter how you package it, it will be fine unless you live in the arctic circle (and even then it would be fine, you might just need more time to defrost).

It will just get a little cold but you can bring it up to room temp or even toast it when you arrive.

I do this all the time.

I often make muffins instead of loaves (they bake faster and are already individually portioned). Once they're cool, I put them in a large plastic Tupperware and go about my merry way with them.

Yep, I’d say bake, cool in pan a few minutes, cool fully and wrap in parchment, then slide back in pan and wrap pan+bread fully in plastic wrap. If you’re careful, after fully cooling you could probably even slice the bread (but keep slice together) before wrapping in the parchment.

You don't have to do it this way because all the prior suggestions will work just fine, but I have done frozen banana bread and/or muffins to carry with me for a day away from home and they are completely defrosted but fresh by the time I get to my event.
