Looking for a batch folder renaming utility for Windows

Batch FILE renamers for Windows (10) are easy to find - e.g. PowerRename, which is part of PowerToys. And I do want that type of utility. But what about a batch FOLDER renamer? I also need that functionality. Does PowerRename do that? Or any other reliable utilities out there? I'd ideally have a single utility that does both.

I use Bulk Rename Utility to rename files and it looks like it works on folders, too. There's even a right-click menu so you can highlight everything in a folder, right-click, and open the app from there.

I've been using Bulk Rename Utility for years. It handles both files and folders.

The interface takes a little learning, but it's not too bad and you can do very complex renaming tasks in bulk.

I have used RenameMaster for my renaming needs for years. However I am not sure it will completely satisfy your requirements. I believe it is freeware so you could give it a look, unless the above answers have already satisfied your needs.

Advanced Renamer is the best one I've found, lots of methods to rename files and folders.

If you can provide some detail about how to identify the folders that need renaming, and the kind of renaming pattern you need to apply to those, I'd be happy to walk you through learning enough of the Windows command line interface to be able to build your own specialist scripts for doing this kind of work and more. The learning curve involved will not be much steeper than that involved in coming to grips with any competent GUI renamer and the skills acquired will open up whole new possibilities for using your computers.
