"Any change is stressful for animals - even positive change". I read a quote like this somewhere, but now I can't find it. Maybe in a book by Gerald Durrell, or maybe from Life of Pi? Anyone familiar with it? Thanks!

This sounds like something Temple Grandin would say.

Pretty sure it's not Durrell (I think I've read everything he's ever written, the closest thing I can recall is him saying that if animals don't get enough stimulation and variety, then even something slight (like a nearby live music concert) can stress them to the point of heart attacks.) It's true, but I think it's more recent than his work.
