Republican speech at DNC?

If you wanted to persuade a politically conservative person to vote for Kamala Harris, or at least not to vote for Trump, which Republican speech from the Democratic convention would you show that person? Assume that showing the clip is the only persuading you would be doing.

Depends on the person.

If they’re a Never Trumper, Georgia’s former lt gov Geoff Duncan.

If they are against January 6th, Adam Kinzinger, former member of the House and the Jan 6 commission.

Here’s a list of the others. Most of their talks are pretty short so you could watch a few to decide which works best for your people.

Yeah - is this a generic Trump voter or someone whose personality, priorities, and vibes preferences you know? If so that would be relevant.

Tim Walz included a "cut out and send to a persuadable republican" segment in his speech - maybe that?

John Giles, the mayor of Mesa, AZ: "I feel a little out of place tonight. But I feel more at home here than in today's Republican party."

If someone on the fence about democracy vs. authoritarianism, former press secretary Stephanie Grisham's speech.

If someone with a uterus, the stories from women denied emergency abortions.

If someone with a child, the stories from people whose child was killed by gun violence.

Duncan and Kinzinger (and maybe toss in that cop from MI that spoke, can't remember his name)

I thought Kinziger was really good. I'm not sure how many Republicans it will get to pull the lever for a Democrat, but I think for every Republican Kinziger convinces to vote for Harris there are ten Republicans Kinziger convinces it's OK to sit this one out because it's not the end of the world if Harris wins. Kinziger's emphasis was that the contemporary GOP can in no way be called "conservative" so was aimed at people (like Kinziger) who identify as such.
