Quiet hybrid vehicle

It's time to retire the family oriented Toyota Sienna. We would like to buy a sedan or small SUV, hybrid (not EV), suitable for 8 hour drives, preferably used but still under warranty, low road noise, with an upscale interior that will fit a 6'4" driver. What can you recommend?

The 2021+ Venza is a candidate, but I've read that the noise levels are disappointing. We have driven and hate the split rear window Prius. We are both 60, and this could possibly be the last car we purchase.

Honda Accord or CR-V? I've not been in the new Accord, but it looks gigantic and should be very roomy.

RAV4prime? Many users describe it as pretty quiet.

The Lexus version of the Camty, for luxury level of quiet.

The comfort level in Volvos is also pretty high, and they do make PHEVs.

I really like the Kia Niro. It’s definitely car sized rather than SUV, and gets 55mpg. It’s got much more legroom than my previous Prius, but I don’t know how it compares to other vehicles noise-wise.

Mr Kyra and I had to buy a car during the pandemic (fun!) and ended up with a Kia Niro hybrid*. Two plus years later, we are still happy with it. We have taken it on longer road trips as well as around town. The gas mileage is excellent. It’s not as large as some SUVs, but I still feel higher up than in a sedan or similar. I am short; Mr Kyra is 6’4” and we both find the vehicle comfortable.

*full disclosure: we did not have a lot of options due to pandemic supply issues. I hope that is less of an issue for you.

We have an older (2010) CR-V and it tends to fit my taller family members better than some similar models of small SUVs. YMMV (see what I did there?)

As someone 6'4" who dreads getting rental cars, I was very pleasantly surprised by the comfort, refinement and quietness of the Volvo XC40 "mild hybrid" I ended up with as a rental last month. The mileage wasn't impressive, but the experience was great.

My daily driver is a 2012 RAV4 - with lengthening rails on the driver's seat - and this rental-class XC40 blew it out of the water noise and comfort-wise even though it was a bit smaller.

Tires have a large effect on noise.

I'm 6'2" and had to get a new-to-me vehicle just shy of a year ago and my partner and I settled on a 2022 Hyundai Tucson hybrid (not PHEV), which caught my eyes when doing research with how much space it has for humans. I can have the driver seat all the way back then get in the back seat and still have leg room. Like, I'm comfortable back there, it's wild, and fantastic since my teenage children are approximately my size now as well. It's also a very fun drive.

Downsides include the gear shifter is buttons in the console, and it's not awesome how all the climate control and similar affordances are on flat panels or the touch screen. It is a nice screen though. The cargo space is pretty good, but nothing compared to our previous vehicle which was a Town & Country (full size van).
