Good gifts for a nerd in Boston

Hi! I'd like to get a gift for a friend in Boston, ideally something that he could take advantage of locally. His interests include pub trivia, politics, cult movies, and games (like board games and D&D). I'd thought about a membership to this gaming cafe but it's not convenient for him—he's in Lower Allston. Any ideas welcome!

Gift certificates or subscriptions to the Brattle or Coolidge Corner theaters.

I have not personally been there, but there’s Knight Moves café in Coolidge Corner.

There’s a maker space in Lower Allston called Artisan’s Asylum. It’s not exactly any of the things you mentioned but I’m positive there’s some Venn diagram overlaps! I believe they have monthly membership, specific short term classes, drop in sessions and probably gift cards

If downtown isn’t convenient, Central Square in Cambridge probably isn’t more so, but Pandemonium seems worth a mention.

Boda Borg is a really good time - it's filled with quests, which can be puzzle based (sort of like an escape room) or physical (like an obstacle course) or a mix of the two. You can do as many or as few as you want while you're there.
