Looking for a low-cost neutral third party

I'm looking to pay a trustworthy neutral third party to receive and verify a few documents including my ID and 1-2 other documents. No mediation is needed, and I don't want to pay the high fees of a lawyer. I simply want to prove my credentials to someone without them knowing my name or any personally identifying details. My Google-fu is failing me and I can only find not-quite-right solutions.

The question seems unclear: if they see documents that include your ID, won't they then know your name and possibly other personally identifying details?

Also, where are you? This varies by country/jurisdiction.

I think the OP is talking about some kind of escrow, where their identity is verified by a third party without disclosing the ID to the second party.

Agree that it would be helpful to know more about the context.

I have no idea if this is accurate, but maybe a notary would do this?

Not just their identity, presumably, but possession of some kind of qualifications as well.

In order to remain trustworthy, the mutually trusted third party would need to be able to verify FoC's identity both from the perspective of the State (in order to verify those qualifications) and from the perspective of the second party (in order to avoid testifying that those qualifications are held by any random person into whose hands that testimony might fall) and this is where the difficulty lies. Pseudonymous identity claims are much easier to falsify than official ones.

You could try community mediation services or an escrow service?

I'm a notary, and here are the things I do: verify IDs, verify copies of IDs, certify that someone knowingly signed a document.

In this situation, I would definitely need to ask some follow-up questions, but, based on the information you've provided so far, I'm not sure that what you want falls within the scope of what I can provide.

(Note that what notaries can do varies by state, I am not your notary, etc., etc.)

It's a little hard to imagine exactly what you are looking for here. You want some kind of document that says a person (but without naming you) showed me such and such documents? Presumably there would be some kind of unique code that the recipients and you agreed on in advance so that this would be tied to you in some way.

I think you're going to have a hard time finding some kind of official service to do this for you, because they are generally intended to verify people's identities, not hide them. Would it work to get some kind of official document and then redact your name on it and send it to the recipient? Then a notary might be able to do what you need, depending on what would be involved in verifying the other documents. Alternatively, you could get some other third party to verify your documents and then have them swear an oath in front of a notary that they have done so.
