What's the best way to have a portfolio of confidential work?

I've done video work and written work as messaging for specific brands, political initiatives and other limited term projects. But now it's getting to be a little too much to attach IN a message. And sending links to multiple places - Vimeo, newspaper stuff, etc - is getting stripped out in emails. What's a one place option that's not public and ideally password protected that I can send people to?
Dropbox?

Ultra.cc will rent you an app server hosted in the Netherlands with 1TB of storage for five bucks per month. The main use for these things is as BitTorrent seedboxes so they've got excellent network connectivity, but you can use them for whatever you like except unrestricted serving of web pages to the general public.
You get ssh access and a Web control panel with a one-click installer for assorted useful apps, one of which is FileBrowser. This lets you create your own user accounts, each of which has its own password and can be restricted to accessing specific folders. You could create one folder per client and send them the URL and login credentials over email.
Note that all the upload-related language on the plans page refers to data uploaded from your app server to elsewhere, not data that you upload to your app server.
Also note that one of the reasons why this service is so ridiculously cheap for the amount of storage and bandwidth you get is that the terms of service offer no guarantees about preserving data in the event of equipment failure on their end. You should not store your only copy of anything on an ultra.cc seedbox.
