Pizza Delivery Central Park NYC (Sheep’s Meadow)

Looking to get two solid, nothing special NYC pies delivered for a picnic today. Do the delivery apps deliver in Central Park? If I want a solid pie that’s hot, great cheese and pepperoni, who would you use and what app to use? If delivery isn’t an option where would you go in the sw corner of Central Park?

When I lived in NYC just a couple years ago would never see anyone getting delivery to park picnics but I’m thinking things might have changed?

Central Park actually has its own app that lets you do exactly this!

Response by poster: I saw that, but that website looks like scammy SEO site, not affiliated with Central Park- I’ll try it out tho!

Best answer: Sorry to say that EmpressCallipygos’ link is to a page from 2010; the app doesn’t exist now; the linked site is not the official site for the park and should not be relied upon for information.

If I were near Sheep Meadow I would probably walk over to one of the hole-in-the-wall pizza places around 68th & Columbus rather than trying to work out a delivery point.

You will not be able to count on delivery to CP to get it to you at the right time for your picnic, made worse because the delivery apps will be confused by lack of address, I'd do what bcwinters suggests but would order ahead to pick up a pie at La Traviata on 68th St for a delicious pizza (west of Bway)

I've ordered before to the Shakespeare in the Park line in Central Park - there was a deli that would send their delivery guys with menus to the line, hand out their menus to everyone in the line, you would call the order in and then their delivery guys would come by on bikes a little while later with your order. I'm not 100% sure that this is the place (I've long since lost the menu) but from a cursory google search they might be-- if they were willing to deliver to the Shakespeare In The Park line they may be willing to deliver to Sheep's Meadow. Best answer: Agree that walking takeout over is going to be your best bet but for posterity, I was just at a third birthday party in Prospect Park that got pizza delivery so I can confirm that some NYC pizza places do deliver to some parks. If I wanted to do this I would definitely call the place directly rather than going through an app.
