Suggestions for hiking or utility shorts.

They need to have large pockets with wide openings for holding a lot of stuff (several phones, wallet keys, pens), plus a decent size coin pocket for holding even more keys. They should be water resistant and durable, able to go through a washer and dryer at least once a day. Absolutely no zippers at all. Breathable and loose fitting for the hell that is the southern USA in the summer. Dark colored. Under or around $50 USA. What do you suggest?

These are for working as a delivery person, where personal stuff (wallet and keys) will be mixed with a scanner or two, pens, any number of key fobs for gated communities, along various sets of keys with chains for said communities

Best answer: Columbia cargo shorts are everything you want except for a short zipper on the security pocket.

Walking around with that much stuff in your pockets is going to be quite uncomfortable. Would some sort of tool belt not be an option?

Response by poster: Be doing it for several years, it’s fine, no utility belt wanted, thank you.
