Great restaurant in NYC (Manhattan) with outdoor tables?

Hello. For a wedding anniversary, I'm looking for a really good restaurant that has outdoor tables. Preferable: Downtown, East Side.

Perfect is Union Square Cafe, but we have had so many celebrations there (getting out your tiny violin yet?) that we would like to find a new place. Near perfect would be Le Coucou, but they have no outdoor tables. Definitely prefer East or West Village or Union Square area, NoMad, SoHo would be okay too. Financial District, Midtown, Upper East and even Upper West Side, etc., are kind of turnoffs (We are East Villagers and like to stay on our "planet").

But most important is that we want a GREAT meal, outdoors, and will pay the Big Bucks for it. We're in our 70's and want to Carpe a little Diem on our anniversary.

It’s in Brooklyn, but it’s only one subway stop from Downtown East Side: The River Café has outdoor seating and some of the best views of any restaurant on the planet.

Have you ever been to the Public Hotel on Chrystie Street? They have an outdoor terrace for events that looks lovely and they have restaurants that look very good to provide the food.
