How to Glassdoor

[Asking for a friend] I've been out of the workforce for 20+ years while doing full-time parenting, and started using Glassdoor to investigate companies where I'd like to find a job. Now it's blocked me with a message that says "To restore your access, we ask that you contribute."
It wants me to add salary information or write a review...but I've been out of the workforce for so long that I literally don't have anything to contribute—the companies I worked for no longer exist. Is there a way to keep using Glassdoor without this?

I'm not sure how to bypass it other than using incognito mode maybe, but I haven't run into the same issue accessing Indeed's company reviews, and there usually seem to be more reviews to look at as well.

Best answer: Glassdoor has some other issues you may want to be aware of.

Best answer: So, whenever I see something like this I think “this is how you lower the quality of your data even further.” The obvious solution is to get a throwaway email address, log in as a new user, and make up a bunch of crap. They’re happy, you’re happy, everybody’s happy.
Then I ask myself how often this probably happens and I give up on things like Glassdoor … even if this violates your friend’s ethical standards, I bet it doesn’t for a lot of people and a bunch of their data is probably just created to get by the gate.

Best answer: Honestly, you'd probably find better reviews on Reddit these days.
