recommend audiobooks for running

I listen to audiobooks when I run. Knowing that I have a fun book to listen to gets me out of the house, without it I don't run.
Most recently I listened to The Last Policeman trilogy which was excellent for running (and lasted more than a year!) as I was hooked on the story. Previously I listened to Len Deighton's spy novels. I also listened to Milkmanby Anna Burns which was also excellent. Based on the recommendations here I also listened to Andy Weir "project Hail Mary" Now I don't have a book, and my running is suffering. Please recommend more books for running. Thank you.

The Slough House series? MI-5 rejects. (+1 for The Last Policeman)

For the combined quality of story AND audiobook recording, both the Discworld series and The Muderbot Diaries are joys.

Dead in the Water. Technically nonfiction but reads like an excellent thriller. Kept me walking a good long while.

Also recommending the Slow Horses books.
My favorite audiobook is Jesus' Son / Train Dreams by Denis Johnson (available together for one price). I've listened to it countless times.
I've also listened to Martin Booth's A Very Private Gentleman numerous times.

How about The Expanse books? They'll take you a long ways! (There are 9 total.)

Oh, man, thanks for making me remember Milkman. What a great book (and with a running subplot, even!). I feel a little sheepish about recommending a series I haven’t yet read myself, but based on what I’ve heard about it, I think it might fit: The Cartel Series by Don Winslow?

I've been listening to Tana French's Dublin Murder Squad books. They're pretty amazing but they're long!
(there's a benefit to reading them in order. each following book focuses on a supporting character of the previous)

If you're open to narrative non-fiction and like The Princess Bride even a bit, Cary Elwes' memoir of filming the movie, As You Wish, is delightful. He narrates, and other cast and crew appear as well.

Another fantastic narrative non-fiction: the Roald Dahl memoir "Going Solo." Everything about it is just perfect: the narrator, the adventure, the storytelling. I've only been allowing myself to listen to it while I'm exercising and the suspense is killing me--it's absolutely riveting. His prequel memoir "Boy" is also a delight.

If you liked Project Hail Mary, Andy Weir's The Martian on audiobook is terrific too!

Another non-fiction rec: The Wager, by Daniel Grann (read by the excellent Dion Graham).

I like the audiobooks of the Lockwood & Co. series. Slightly silly premise but worked out v seriously with an arc over all the books, so that can get you through quite a lot of running.

All the Sinners Bleed by S.A. Cosby Couldn't stop listening to it.
The Talented Mr Ripley and other Patricia Highsmith suspense audiobooks are pretty gripping.
Can confirm that Don Winslow is also unstoppable - I liked City on Fire, first in a trilogy about a Rhode Island Irish mafia clan being torn apart.
