Where have you encountered a Brannock device recently in Los Angeles?

I haven't seen a Brannock device in forever, but I would love to use one and don't want to drop $30 plus shipping for a one-time-use thingamajig. (I think they have multiple sizes by age and gender--the one I would correspond to common men's shoe sizes.) Anywhere in any of LA County's 88 incorporated cities is ideal.

Response by poster: (I meant $30+ on ebay. I think new they run about $80+.)

It's been a few years since I've been in one, but there generally were a few kicking around the shoe department at Nordstrom Rack. If there's one near you, I might go there to have a look. An actual Nordstrom will have one too, but that'd be harder to just go and use.

DSW does not have them to my recollection.

(As a kid, they had them in the shoe department in Sportmart, which became the Sports Authority, but I think the Sports Authority is gone.)

Nordstrom for sure has them. Probably also Bloomingdales.

I just saw one at an REI in Portland, so I'd call your local REI and see if they have one.

I don't really know LA County, but Red Wing Shoes stores (options in Burbank, Commerce, Culver City, Long Beach, Pasadena, etc.) might be a good place to call :)

Best answer: This seems like a rose bowl flea market thing. I can't promise you'd find one there, but even if you don't (which you will), you'll have an incredible day.
