Help me buy my doctors office a gift

My primary care doctor is a tiny private office of two physicians and a nurse who have really gone above and beyond for me with my medical stuff. I want to say thank you and am looking for ideas.

They've been treating me mostly for my fickle asthma so humor related to lung related puns is welcome so I can throw some of them in a letter i will write as well. They are a family practice and treat kids too. I don't know what else to say other than that they are awesome.

What should I do?

I gave gift cards to the nearest coffee shop to the nurses who dealt with my crappy uncooperative veins and whiny-princess skin allergies for two and a half months. Seemed to be well-received!

It has been my experience that health care personnel are alway happy to have really heavy duty hand cream/salve. Probably because they have to wash their hands often.

See if you can take a look around the office next time you’re there. Do they have lots of outside hand lotion by the staff sinks? Other tchotchkes around that might give a hint at what they like? Small nice picture frames might be nice, so they can have pictures of their loved ones by their desk while they work.

My mom is a nurse who has been given gifts by patients often over the years and the ones she tends to mention are the personal ones- handmade, homemade or homegrown food gifts, something related to the person’s profession (e.g. flowers from a florist), but honestly the recognition is what means the most.

Waxed amaryllis bulbs are in season right now for the spring- they are basically these onion-sized bulbs, dipped in wax that you just put out where there is some ammount of light and they will grow 18" tall and put out big showy flowers without any water or attention, and they will bloom a couple times so it's like a 6-8 week floral experience with a lot of anticipation that builds up. example
I got one for $8 a few days ago in the trader joe's floral section, and i have seen them at other grocery store floral sections. If you find them cheap, get a few so each staffed can take one home or have a flower race at the office?

I gave several as gifts over the winter holidays and they were a huge hit.

I have given my gastroenterologist and staff money for a meal out. He has assembled a superb, responsive, and professional team and they have seen me through some pretty rough times. I provide the funds in a check to his senior medical person, and I checked with her to make sure it was okay with him.

MD here. The best presents by far are notes or cards talking about what their care meant to you.
