WIN11: Why are my taskbar icons jumbled?

Why are all the icons on my taskbar jumbled (link to pic)?

This is Windows 11 22H2, which it says is up to date. Somehow whenever I open a new program, the icon will just totally move around and be one on top of another or just jumbled up or weird sizes.

In case the linked image isn't clear, there is a big space after the search bar that should have an icon in it, then the clipping tool icon has a tiny Chrome icon on top of it, and next to that is a Firefox icon hiding behind the calculator icon.

I haven't done anything to try to make any changes to the taskbar, it is in its original settings. Google only takes me to answers where people changed their registry settings, which I have not done. Anyone know how to make it stop? It is annoying, and when they are on top of one another it is hard to click on the app I want to see.

You've rebooted, right? Try grabbing the bar itself with the mouse, move it to the side so it's vertical, then back. Try choosing small icons in Taskbar settings, then go back to regular size. Here's an article about stacked icons.

AFAIK, you can no longer do a vertical taskbar in Win11....
