What's the best free alternative to Doodle polls these days?

I can't handle the popups and bullshit anymore with Doodle, even logged in. I don't want to pay for this. Outlook, Google Calendar, iCal are out of the running for reasons.
Anything reasonably good and free that does the same stuff without the impenetrable ads?
Thanks, all!

If you can't find an ad free alternative, I think an adblocker would help you out. I use ublock origin and I am not seeing any ads or popups on doodle.com. As a bonus, the rest of the internet is also much faster, less irritating, and less dangerous.

Response by poster: Thanks mrgoldenbrown, I hear you on the ad blockers, but not everyone I work with uses them so this is for their sanity, too.

I sometimes get polls using a clone callled Dudle, hosted on some German university's domain.
Digging a little, it's an open source project here on Github, the original instance is here at TU Dresden, and there's another instance here at HU Berlin.

I like Rallly. It's freemium (with the free version plenty useful) / donation-supported, and it's open source, so you can self-host for free if you want.

lettucemeet is a sweet one. My main other thing to check for is can you fill them in easily on a small-screened smartphone (so when2meet is out).

They're both thin and relatively free of bullshit.
