Connecting a domain I already own to a Wix website

So I read the FAQ on the Wix.com website for doing this. I plan to follow the step by step procedure. My question: Is this a relatively painless procedure or am I going to be running across a minefield? The domain I own is managed by Google.

It looks like it should be pretty painless? Lots and lots of people have done this.

Before you settle on a Wix site, I need to warn you that Wix sites are notoriously non-compatible with older Mac and iOS browsers (i.e. Safari / webkit) As in, hitting a Wix site gives you a “your browser is no longer supported” page with no access to the site.

DNS changes like this are only (a little) tricky if you need to make sure services like email stay available at all times.
If you're not running email accounts over that domain then the step by step should get you there without issues.

Should be easy. My experience as someone who has done lots and lots of DNS changes for customers is to just remember, as the final step notes, that changes can take time and you shouldn't panic if you don't see what you expect to see immediately. DNS changes have to propagate all around the world, so it's not uncommon for someone to see the update in the US right away but not in Europe until a few hours later or vice versa.
