How to have two "presences" on LinkedIn?

If someone has two gigs, and they use their main LinkedIn page for one of the gigs, how do they handle gig #2? (motivation inside)

So one thing they can do is set up a Business Page that they can post to. But are there ways to amp up the interactivity and building of networks on top of that? Asking because our theatre company has got someone helping out with classes but already has an established LinkedIn profile for an unrelated field.

Response by poster: Oh, also under official LinkedIn rules, it is forbidden to set up alter ego accounts. We don't want to violate that rule.

I've seen multiple people incorporate both into one profile. They'll have two jobs that are concurrent, for example. I've done a double-take before realizing that one of those is (presumably) a volunteer position.

I'm not super involved in LinkedIn (I do check my feed periodically but not looking for work or hiring), and I just have everything slopped together in my one profile. I'm a college student! I've got 17 years in my non-creative technical field! I do freelance work in creative fields! My software development connections give me endorsements for my creative field skills, which doesn't make much sense! It's all in there!

This is how I've seen other professionals with complicated work histories, it's not particularly confusing but I can see how if you just want my TV experience you have to scroll through my other work. I will say, though, the usual channel for me getting TV gig offers is they find my profile on a media job seeking site, google me, find my linkedin profile and contact me through there (I know this based on what email address it comes in from). Seeing all my work history doesn't discourage them.

when you list job entries in your profile, there are 'flags' like "contract work" or "freelance", to help figure out what overlapping work means.

Also, I will say: when I am hiring and I see a LinkedIn profile, personally I'd rather see a active, flourishing Linkedin profile than one with a couple job listings which don't really add up to a full work history.
