Online website calendar/event Registration

I have been tasked with finding a calendar for work that can be embedded into a website, managed by a number of people, and allow bookings (and cancellations!) by public.
I work with at a public library, and currently we use Trumba. However, this is cumbersome (but reasonably priced!), and is a little complicated for some staff to quickly make adjustments for various event managing. (Such as waiting lists, cancellations, and so on).
My question is - what are some other, comparable systems out there? Cost is a bit of an issue, but at this stage we're trying to compile a list of options. Thanks

Best answer: I’ve been using Calendly for similar purposes for a couple of years, and been pretty happy with it. They have various price/feature tiers. I make do with the cheapest non-free option, and they gave me a 50% discount because I’m using it on behalf of a nonprofit.

Best answer: My library system is in the process of rolling out Communico.
I gather it's not inexpensive, but thus far both the product and support seem very good.

Best answer: From a client's perspective, the online scheduling I find most convenient are Jane app and acuity scheduling.

Best answer: Modern Events Calendar - has a free version with reasonably priced paid modules.
