Please tell me your favorite US travel agent for a trip to Japan

We'll be heading for Japan next year, probably in June. We've decided to get some help with part of our trip. So, please tell me your favorite travel agent who's good with travel to Japan.

I guess a US agent is preferred, but not required. We'll want someone who's accessible from Japan to help us on short notice, if anything unexpected happens.

We'll need help with our flights to/from Japan, local trains, and a couple of hotels. Of course, we want someone who will care about our budget and offer alternatives at different price levels.

Thanks in advance!

Best answer: Inside Japan Tours planned a trip for me, my wife (who uses a wheelchair) and our two teen boys. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Pre-trip planning was great, they carefully analysed our wants and their suggestions were apt. Hotels were great and we were offered a range of prices. The help inside Japan was prompt. Materials supplied were comprehensive: itinerary, hotel vouchers, train tickets, suggested outings and much else. The guides and drivers were fabulous. We booked a much-help-required trip but I think they recognize that people have different needs. They did not help with international flights but this may have changed. Have fun!

Best answer: Also used Inside Japan Tours a number of years ago and can confirm they were excellent. Our trip was about half planned by them and then about half where we stayed with friends (but Inside Japan still helped with activities) and they were happy to accomodate.

Response by poster: Thanks to you both. We'll look into that agency.
