Help me round out a "Derbel McDillet" trivia category

I am writing categories for an upcoming trivia night and want to have some fun with a Dylan McDermott/Dermot Mulroney category. The idea so far is that all of the answers will be (very) roughly homophonic. I have those two, along with Dylan Mulvaney, John Mulaney, and Mick Mulvaney. Do other well-known people (or characters!) come to mind along these lines? And do you have any grand ideas for a particular structure for this category?

Kirk Douglas and Michael Douglas, who I struggle to tell apart from Martin Sheen, who is definitely not Michael Sheen, who played a character called Wesley Snipes, but is definitely not Wesley Snipes, and is also not either Charlie Sheen or Emilio Estevez, who I always think is related to Gloria Estefan, who I struggle to tell apart from Drea de Matteo.

The Diary of a Nobody features neighbour Gowing, and the enthusiastic bicyclist Cummings. " . . . for doesn't it seem odd that Gowing's always coming and Cummings always going?' Carrie, who had evidently quite forgotten about the bath, went into fits of laughter, and as for myself, I fairly doubled up in my chair, till it cracked beneath me. I think this was one of the best jokes I have ever made".

This makes me think of a bit from the TV show Raising Hope that I can't seem to find a clip of.
The dad character (Burt) is talking about logs for some reason and says:

Neal McDonough, Brian Dennehy, Norm MacDonald, Phil Donohue, Mulholland Drive, Father Mulcahy, and Donovan all come to mind as near-misses within your phonemic grouping.
(If you need another category, my husband has never been able to keep Little Richard, Lionel Ritchie, and Rich Little separate in his mind.)

Do Richard Attenborough and David Attenborough count? For the longest time I thought they were the same very hardworking, incredibly productive individual who acted, directed, and also did nature documentaries.
I also get Johnny Lee Miller and Jonathan Rhys Myers mixed up all the time.
Same for Simon Cowell and Simon Callow.
Halle Berry and Halle Bailey are also very confusing.
