I remember reading a biographic article with a great line, which was to the effect of 'he was never convicted of murder, but crucially, not in the same way that you or I have never been convicted of murder'. What was the article? Whose line is it?

Pre-coffee, I clicked on that link thinking the article referenced John McPhee and thinking it was somehow going to tie into Looking For a Ship. What a great article, though - I missed it the first time around.

"Laurie Penny, re John McAfee"

OK this is hilarious because I read this and my brain somehow processed "John McPhee" and I spent 90 full seconds trying to figure out what John McPhee has been up to that I didn't hear about.

I feel like the author should do 20 years for murder and arson after burning a man to death like that.
