Can I disable my Honda's alarm system?

I have a 2012 Honda CRZ and the alarm has been randomly going off. Can I disable it without involving a mechanic and opening my wallet?

The other day it just randomly went off. I turned it off with the fob and all was well, but last night it went off again in the middle of the night, and kept happening. Now, even with the car unlocked and the alarm not enabled, it just randomly goes off until I turn it off with the key fob. Can I disable the alarm myself? It's a 10+ year old car that I am not interested in sinking money into for this kind of thing. I leave nothing valuable in it and wouldn't even care if the car itself was stolen. I just want the beeping to stop. I barely use the car anymore. I've watched some youtube videos about resetting the immobilizer, but this has not worked. I have two different key fobs, and neither are fixing the problem. I've noticed that the alarm does not enable anymore when I lock the car (I don't hear the tell-tale beep that indicates the alarm is enabled when I lock the car).

In a car that I had with an alarm problem with I disconnected the horn so it couldn't continue to honk all night. But then you can't honk for any other reason either.

A quick accessable thing you can do is disconnect the car battery when not in use.

This problem frequently caused by a faulty hood latch switch, that can be disconnected,

I think on my old Corolla, we took out the fuse that controlled the car alarm?

I just want the beeping to stop.

Replace the batteries in your keyfobs and clean out the hood latch switch, which is a quick and easy thing to do even if you don't consider yourself mechanically inclined.

For my 2011 CR-Z, this has proven to be a your-battery-is-about-to-bite-the-dust alarm. I recommend replacing it now before you go to drive somewhere important and find your battery/car is unexpectedly dead.

(I have had various trials and tribulations with this car's battery and the stupid alarm, so feel free to memail me if you want more details. I notice you say you barely drive the car--the CR-Z, like some of the other small Hondas, does not like to be left alone for too long. Mine did not like Covid lockdown at all. Now that I'm driving it regularly again, I haven't been having problems, but I still live in fear of that damn battery alarm.)

Also seconding AlexiaSky's suggestion to disconnect the battery for an immediate but temporary fix.

When my Saab alarm went off randomly (and started seriously affecting my mental health) I pulled the fuse for the alarm. It was also the fuse for something else so I would put it back in again when I drove it. Eventually this got too annoying so I paid a small amount to the mechanic to remove the horn.

^The alarm horn I mean, not the horn horn.
