Identify this movie/tv show - throwing a fake baby

Years ago I saw a scene on television where someone throws a fake baby at a gunman. I've always been curious what it was!
As much as I remember:
Two people (probably a man and a woman) are waiting for a man with a gun to arrive. The woman has a doll or bundle that looks like a baby. When the antagonist arrives, the woman throws the fake baby at him, thinking he will catch it and drop his gun. Instead, he lets the baby fall and fires at them but they manage to subdue him (probably by shooting him?).
Afterward, one or both of them express disgust or disbelief that he didn't even try to catch the baby.
Any idea what this might be? I probably won't recognize the title or actors or anything but I'd love any leads. Thanks.
