Healing my tongue

I bit my tongue a few days ago and there appears to be a little divot in it now. I guess it should grow back, but is there anything I can do to heal it up quicker? Vitamins, etc.?

Best answer: Order a Chinese remedy called Watermelon Frost. Spray the powder on the wound before bed and try not to drink anything to wash away the powder. I recommend use prior to bed since your saliva won’t wash it away. Or you can spray intermittently throughout the day to make sure the Watermelon Frost remains on the wound

Every time I have a dental procedure that leaves a wound in my mouth, the dentist has me rinse with salt water daily. It helps when I bite my tongue or cheek too. I don't know the chemistry of it, but it seems to encourage healing.
