Art appraiser recs in the Seattle area

A family member in the Seattle area is looking to get two family heirloom oil paintings appraised for insurance purposes. Does anybody have any appraisers they have used recently? Family member is in Everett, so one in King or Snohomish counties would be ok.

Best answer: They can search for appraisers here, or look up galleries in the area that handle artwork of a similar nature and ask them who they would recommend for an appraisal. Some will ask to see the pieces in person, while others might do it remotely if they can send good photographs.

Best answer: Another good organization to search is the Appraisers Association of America. That's where I search, fwiw.
